The Jim Wagner Award
Awarded to that team member of the Grand Island varsity lacrosse team who has made the most goals during the year.
Jim Wagner (’00) graduated as the leading scorer in Grand Island lacrosse history. Jim was a 3 year starter on the Varsity and led the 2000 team to the Class B Section VI championship. After leaving Grand Island, Jim continued his fine career at West Point where he was a 3 year starter on attack and served as captain in 2005. Jim led all of Division I lacrosse in 2004 in goals-per-game and was named an All-American player after his 2005 campaign. Jim was drafted into the M.L.L. by the Rochester Rattlers after his senior year.
